Kalaignar Magalir Urimai: How to Apply Online and at e-Sevai Centers

Here's how to apply for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam without the usual mistakes that get applications rejected.

Get your documents first

Aadhaar card, ration card, bank passbook copy, mobile number, email ID, electricity bill. Missing documents are the number one reason for rejection — don't start the form until you have them all.

Online: kmut.tn.gov.in

1. Open kmut.tn.gov.in.
2. Register with your mobile number and verify via OTP.
3. Fill in your details as the woman family head — name, age, address, ration card details.
4. Enter bank account details for the DBT payment.
5. Upload the required documents in the asked format.
6. Submit and save your application reference number.

Offline: e-Sevai centers

Take your documents to the nearest e-Sevai center — staff there fill and submit the form for you, and you get an acknowledgement. This is the best option if you're not comfortable with online forms.

One per family
