Applied for the Magalir Urimai Thittam? Here's how to check whether your application went through and whether payments are landing.

Check application status

Open kmut.tn.gov.in (the official scheme portal).
Go to the application status section and enter your details — usually your registered mobile number or application reference, verified by OTP.
Alternatively, check the e-District portal (edistricts.tn.gov.in) status page with your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your mobile.

Check payments

The ₹1,000 monthly assistance goes by DBT to your bank account — the most reliable "status check" is your bank statement or mini-statement. Beneficiaries also get ATM cards, so you can check at any ATM. If your application shows approved but money isn't arriving, confirm the bank account on file is active and DBT-enabled.
